Nancy Locke

Principal, Urban Places Studio Leader

Photo of Nancy

Nancy is an urban designer with a focus on communities, the public realm, and creating places that are welcoming to all and enrich our experiences. Her career has spanned a wide variety of projects including conservation planning for large properties, master planning for resort communities throughout the world, and, more recently, urban design projects in both large and small cities.

Nancy has come to embrace this diversity of experience as a positive force she brings to projects and is keenly interested in learning about new places, their people, and the social, cultural, and environmental ecosystem of each place. This comes in handy on projects like the Adams Crossing net zero community development or the Brighton Boulevard Redevelopment project where connecting with stakeholders and their needs is extremely important.

She leads the urban design and landscape architecture studio in the Denver office and is actively engaged with the University of Colorado as a lecturer in the College of Architecture and Planning. There, she leads an urban design studio and teaches the urban design practice course.
