Carol McCoy

Principal, Senior Environmental Project Manager

Photo of Carol

Carol handles permitting guidance for a broad range of clients, calling on her 25 years of regulatory experience. Carol’s expertise stems from the unique perspective delivered by her early career working for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the US Forest Service, the US Navy, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

As a consultant, Carol specializes in the early identification of environmental issues. She develops alternatives to minimize environmental impacts, negotiates with regulatory agency personal, and executes challenging permit applications that often require mitigation measures. In Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Carol’s work helped secure the permits that gave the state its first IKEA store—five months ahead of schedule.

Providing project management and regulatory expertise for renewable energy, transmission line, and rail projects, Carol uses strong communication skills to support projects, teammates, and the client from inception and planning to construction and project fruition. When she isn’t at work, you might find Carol on her Hobie Cat 16 during the sailing season or cross-country skiing with her three dogs in the winter.
