Christian’s commitment to education is driven by an intense passion for learning and dedication to researching new technologies and implications for design. He’s found a career passion in designing for special needs, and studying how informal learning spaces, furniture, and technology affect these students’ ability to learn. In particular, he has presented at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the impacts that the built environment has on autistic individuals, and he continues to research this subject.

Christian has received a number of awards for his design work, including an award from the Texas Society of Architects for his work with the Ministry of Education for Kurdistan, Iraq and their development of a school that features modern design standards and solutions—an enhancement to the future of learning in this third-world country. He has also received multiple design awards from the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards (TASA/TASB) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
