Praveen is an electrical engineer with the Power Group in Atlantic Canada. He has more than 8 years industrial and academic experience in electrical design, power system analysis and optimization techniques. To top it off, he also has experience in power system protection and relaying, distributed power generation, renewable energy, net metering and smart grid applications.
Praveen has been involved with coordinating and leading teams on complex industrial projects and research initiatives with utilities, academia, light and heavy industrial clients. He’s passionate about green, renewable initiatives and solutions that allow utilities to rely less on carbon-based fuel sources for power production—he’s also very interested in innovative and cost-effective design solutions for optimal industrial plant operation.
When Praveen is off the clock, he likes reading, playing board games, cricket, pool, and hiking. He’s also a total foodie and loves cooking for his family and friends (whether they like it or not).
