As our landscape architecture discipline lead in a career that spans almost four decades, Gary brings a systems-based approach to transportation, public realm, ecosystem, and community planning and design. He leads nearly 300 landscape architects, designers, and technicians on major projects. Committed to our multidisciplinary approach across Community Development, Transportation, Buildings, and Environmental Services, he advocates for healthier, more equitable, and sustainable places designed within communities.

Gary credits his success in this role as a landscape architect with the vision, passion, and understanding of the social, environmental, and experiential impacts of our work. From planning to implementation, he recognizes the expanding severity of climate change and its impact in communities. He seeks nature-based solutions through collaborative design and meticulous attention to detail. His keen understanding of ecology, place-making, economics, and the importance of connected and inclusive public space embody our team’s work.

A fellow with the American Society of Landscape Architects, Gary has held numerous elected and appointed civic volunteer positions focusing on conservation, education, preservation, and economic sustainability.
