As a lighting designer, Megan works with architects, interior designers, and clients to design lighting that enhances architecture while creating human-centric spaces. She studied environmental design at the University of Colorado with an emphasis in architecture and fabrication, and she previously served as design engineer for a light fixture manufacturer. This job cultivated Megan’s passion for lighting design and, as a result, she joined our company in 2015.
Megan has worked on a variety of projects, including but not limited to: healthcare facilities, commercial developments, retail venues, and public spaces. It’s her job to determine how lighting affects perceptions of the built environment. It’s her aspiration to help define that build environment while enhancing end-user experience.
Recently, Megan’s been designing the lighting for our new corporate headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta. Stantec Tower, the southeastern pillar of the Ice District, will consolidate 19 floors of Stantec staff in Edmonton.
At the end of the day, Megan wants to travel. She took her first solo trip last April—to Vietnam! Next up? Nashville, Tennessee.
