As the director of alternative project delivery (APD) for our Water team, Mike’s expertise is in progressive and fixed price design/build projects, construction management at risk (CMAR), and P3 delivery methods. More of our clients are electing to use APD for their largest and most complex projects, so Mike’s focus is to build specialized design delivery teams to navigate the fast-paced environment and build long-lasting relationships with our construction, operations, and financial partners.
With a diverse background, Mike is able to relate to a wide range of people. His experience allows him to appreciate and identify with everyone’s role on the project, from the worker in the field to the owner who’s interest is delivering, safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water to their customer.
When Mike’s not watching his sons play water polo, he likes to go wine tasting with his wife, Kristin. He grew up in Napa, and she in Sonoma, so they enjoy visiting family there on weekends. He’s also a fan of the San Francisco 49er’s—aye they’re in rough shape this season, but Mike can still remember the glory days!
