Empty Bowls for lunch at the Winston-Salem office

Our Winston-Salem, North Carolina team can pack a lot of goodwill into a single lunch hour

Nine Stantec employees took part in the “Empty Bowls” fundraiser in support of the Second Harvest Food Bank. Empty Bowls is a project that works to diminish food insecurity by raising awareness and generating donations to the local food bank.

For Empty Bowls, the artists, students and craftspeople in the community come together to create and donate bowls they made –guests attending the event are given a meal and a bowl to take home as a reminder of those who can’t afford to eat every day.

Providing access to nutritious food, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina is committed to eliminating hunger across eighteen counties. Last year, the food bank provided more than 25 million meals to families in need!
