Webinar Series: Oil sands potential. Untapped.

Join Alberta Innovates, Stantec, and COSIA for a live webinar series on the untapped potential of Alberta’s oil sands

When we think of oil sands and bitumen, we might picture a natural resource that is converted into gasoline, diesel fuel, and heating oil. These products release energy upon combustion, essential to industry and our lives.

But, are there potential uses of bitumen that are not combustion products and meet emerging global needs?  Alberta Innovates and Stantec team up to answer just that in this webinar series bringing you insights from a major new initiative led by Alberta Innovates, called ‘Bitumen Beyond Combustion, (BBC)’.

Learn about potential BBC products that can be produced from oil sands bitumen on a large scale to serve emerging needs, strengthen and diversify Canada’s economy, and address sustainability.
