Stantec’s Amanda Adams talks about the importance of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management, but also how it’s in the hands of mining professionals to act on these standards. She also mentions the shortage of tailings professionals in the industry but notes it’s challenging to find people with skillset to succeed in the multifaceted roles. Lastly Amanda emphasizes the need for strong communication between the many people working on one project.
