Funding for Superfund sites – the US’s most contaminated sites – has waxed and waned over the years. But new funding is coming from the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. In an interview with Environment Analyst, Stantec’s technical discipline leader for site investigation and remediation, Carole Farr, discusses how the funding impacts Superfund projects, environmental justice, and future resiliency.
