Wareham Dam interim spillway repairs

The interim spillway repairs at Wareham Dam are complete. Stantec’s Senior Civil Engineer, Irfan Maan, explains the scope of work that was carried out at the dam outside of Mayo, Yukon including a site investigation, interim design drawings, and construction. Impressively, the team completed the project under a tight schedule at a remote site and in the middle of winter all while the Covid-19 pandemic was causing supply chain issues. Thanks to the combined works, the spillway is now protected from imminent failure and further degradation. The interim measures will be applied until a permanent solution is engineered and constructed.
