US Government helps nuclear energy allies catch up to Russia, China

Stantec’s Jag Singh was featured in Forbes to provide insight into the nuclear energy industry and explain why investment is critical for SMRs
The nuclear energy industry is set to take off in North America and around the world. This is in part due to the energy transition—moving away from traditional fossil fuels and towards cleaner sources of energy. It’s also in part due to advancements of small modular reactor (SMR) technology.
SMRs are advanced nuclear reactors that generate reliable, consistent power while emitting no greenhouse gases (GHG) in the process. They can help to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and complement renewable energy sources like wind and solar. So, what’s stopping the large-scale adoption of SMRs into our energy infrastructure? Stantec’s Nuclear Lead Jag Singh was featured in Forbes where he explains how significant investment, as well as public-private partnerships, are key to the nuclear energy industry’s success.
