Carbon capture is an innovative means of reducing emissions. It can help us to decarbonize our conventional energy infrastructure while the transition to net zero takes place.
Right now, countries like the United Kingdom are investing heavily in carbon capture technology. They are looking for ways to unlock its full potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions now and into the future.
Carbon capture innovations have the potential to greatly reduce both capital and operating costs of traditionally carbon-intensive industries. At the same time, they offer shorter construction timescales.
Jonathan Maclaren was recently featured in New Civil Engineer. He explains why it’s important to deploy more innovative carbon capture technologies on a national scale and having a diversified strategy.
