This article from Trenchless Technology, authored by Stantec, provides design and planning considerations for complex HDD crossings

Advances in technology and equipment have made horizontal directional drilling (HDD) a widely adopted method for complex crossings–pushing the boundaries of what is possible. With these advances, the design and planning of HDDs have also become more demanding. Stantec’s trenchless and geotechnical professionals have provided four tips to aid owners and design professionals on their next project.
