Mechanical Engineering Technologist Charlotte Flaherty from our Dunedin office talks to industry body Engineering New Zealand for their video series, Study Life to Working Life, which aims to get tips and advice from experienced engineers, managers and HR staff about stepping into employment after leaving the study books behind.
A former journalist, Charlotte went back to study mechanical engineering in her early 50s. She joined Stantec after interning for us and got hooked on our “incredible” culture. Watch and listen as Charlotte discusses networking, volunteering, the importance of asking questions, and practical steps Stantec has developed to create a flexible workforce, retain talent, and increase diversity.
