Tragedy often leads to innovation. Michael Morrisroe, Water Infrastructure Lead, discusses how Fire Flow, which models water supply and pressure as well as building use was created in response to a fatal fire. What started as a hydrologic modeling exercise used to give a fire brigade real-time data in an emergency is now becoming a vision for integrating every building element and system into a future digital city model, improving the resilience of our cities and towns.
