From engineering grids to gourmet pizza: A day in the life of Nahid

Nahid Hussain is a technical program manager for our Power Delivery teams. For Nahid, engineering is more than a career—it’s a way of thinking that shapes everything he does.

In his role, Nahid is currently working with BC Hydro to modernize, upgrade, expand, and strengthen British Columbia’s electrical grid.

Nahid’s journey at Stantec has allowed him to develop his technical skills, lead with confidence, and keep learning along the way.

Outside of work, Nahid’s love of cooking reflects the same curiosity and precision that drives his engineering work. In the kitchen, he experiments with flavors the way he approaches distribution design using creativity, science, and a problem-solving mindset.
