The EPA’s new Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI) require utilities to meet compliance deadlines by November 1, 2027, and beyond. Join our LCRI professionals Brendan O’Brien, Caitlin Glover, Sean Spath, and Simon Horsley as they discuss the new regulations, navigating regulatory uncertainty, and upcoming actions for water utilities.

The presenters walked through key steps to stay compliant. Some of these include building accurate service line inventories, setting up strong sampling programs, and keeping clear communication with everyone involved. They shared updates on how sampling rules are changing and encouraged utilities to start pilot programs early to avoid problems later. The session wrapped up with an overview of funding options—like state revolving funds, grants, and the WIFIA program—that can help pay for replacing lead service lines.
