Albertans helping Albertans: Constructing Peter Lougheed Hospital’s temporary COVID-19 structure

As COVID-19 cases rose inside Alberta’s largest city, Stantec and a team of eight companies set out to create a turn-key solution for a new 67-bed temporary expansion to Calgary’s Peter Lougheed Centre hospital. With the mandate of ‘Albertans helping Albertans’, the team designed and built a next level health-care facility in three weeks that would normally take months.
