As the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program, created in 1972 by the Clean Water Act, continues to evolve, municipalities are as well. Keeping up is no longer the goal, it has to be reality. This guest column shows how predictive analytics—based in historic data—can better position municipalities when it comes to these increased near real-time reporting requirements.
