National AIA Conference on Architecture & Design 2026
Experience San Diego firsthand when AIA heads to one of the country’s most beautiful cities, June 9 to 13. Be sure to join our team as we support the AEC Cares community project.
See you in San Diego!
Stantec Presents
“Organizing for Impact: Embedding Sustainability in Structure, Culture, and Careers” will be presented by Stantec’s Jill Kurtz and fellow industry professionals.
Sustainability has become central to architecture, but industry structures and career paths often lag behind. This session features case studies from leading firms and shares best practices for sustainability leadership, team building, and governance. Attendees will learn effective frameworks, discuss challenges, and generate actionable ideas to enhance sustainable design in firms of all sizes.
Celebrating our AIA Fellow
Gianna Pigford has been elevated to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows for 2026. Based in Plano, Texas, Giana was honored for her exceptional achievement in the field and significant contributions to both architecture and society. One of 78 architects nationally to receive AIA’s highest membership honor, this group will be inducted on June 11 at the conference.
Showing We Care
Stantec is once again the partner architecture firm for the AEC Cares community outreach project. This year, we are revitalizing the Rachel’s Women’s Center, part of Catholic Charities San Diego’s Homeless Women’s Services. Alongside AIA attendees, we will transform this vital community space into a safe, supportive environment that helps women regain stability, dignity, and a fresh start. Get involved!
