A report from the International Downtown Association and Stantec’s Urban Places shares tactics that downtowns can use to spur recovery

Downtowns and city centers have been hard-hit by the impacts of COVID-19, but the second half of 2021 brings hope as vaccination rates rise and the federal government rolls out funding for recovery. “Building on Recovery for Urban Place Management” from the International Downtown Association (IDA) and Stantec’s Urban Places draws on workshops with IDA members from across North America, to help guide urban place management organizations and other civic leaders in navigating the changing landscape of downtowns and bringing activity and vibrancy back to our urban cores.
In this video, contributors to the report discuss key takeaways and what the future might hold for the recovery of downtowns.
