One of the many sessions at the 2020 SME Annual Conference & Expo, which took place in Phoenix, Arizona in February, was a session on the State of the Practice, chaired by Amanda Adams, Principal, Mining. Followed by a lively panel discussion, the session looked at risks of tailing storage facilities and ways to improve safety. Resa Furey is the lead editor of the symposium proceedings book which will published soon.
