As the demand for health professions and medical education continues to grow, health education design must respond to prepare future health professionals. Across a range of institutions and program types, health education programs need to offer spaces that support hands-on discovery, real-life simulation, focus and study, while instilling confidence and inspiring human-centered service.
Medical education has evolved from a disease-focus toward holistic health and fostering wellness, including that of students and educators. Our designs support occupant wellness by incorporating daylight, views, and biophilic connections that enhance comfort and connection.
For interprofessional education and team-based learning, we create purposeful designs that support meaningful cross-disciplinary interactions that mirror real-world care. We incorporate simulation-based learning for hands-on, scenario-based training to ease the transition to real clinical settings while helping them build critical skills.
Teaching methods and curricula are changing fast. Classrooms and labs need to keep pace. In our health education designs, we prioritize adaptability for schools in flexible, technology-rich learning environments that can pivot between in-person, hybrid, and remote learning.
