09/13/2019

Have you applied for a job at Stantec? We think you’ll enjoy the process. Our previous candidates recently shared their experiences with our recruitment processes, which helped Stantec win a 2019 North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Award.Stantec ranked 6 in the large-size company category, and 21st overall out of over 170 companies that registered for the North American awards and benchmarking program survey.

Talent Board is a non-profit research organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experiences. Talent Board selected the 2019 winners through two rounds of evaluations that feature input from employers and candidates alike.

The CandE program performs a comprehensive evaluation and data analysis on four key data points: positive overall candidate experience, likelihood of candidates applying again, likelihood of candidates referring other candidates, and candidates’ willingness to increase their business relationship with the employer. This year, Talent Board collected more than 195,000 candidate responses overall, so there were a lot of data points to review. “Our team has worked tirelessly over the past year to ensure that our structure, technology, and hiring practices all align with delivering an outstanding candidate experience,” said Nadine Thurston-Prior, Stantec’s Director of Global Talent Acquisition. “We are both honored and humbled to be recognized amongst some of the top ‘best-in-class’ organizations in this area and will continue to utilize the valuable insights gleaned from our CandE Award process to improve our hiring practices in the years to come.”

CandE Awards function as a key indicator of overall recruitment operations excellence. An award win means that companies are paying attention to the overall hiring lifecycle, and that they’ve ensured consistency throughout every candidate touchpoint. Other organizations honored by Talent Board with Northern American CandE Awards this year include Johnson & Johnson, Intel, Lockheed Martin and Southwest Airlines.

“The CandE Awards research has proven that positive candidate experiences lead to positive hiring outcomes, which often have positive business implications,” said Gerry Crispin, Talent Board Co-founder and Principal and Chief Navigator at CareerXroads. “This year’s CandE Awards winners have again demonstrated their commitment to upholding this practice and we are delighted to recognize their work advancing the recruiting process.”
