Supporting the brightest New Zealand minds through university

Scholarships help to open the door to higher education, which is why we're motivated to provide them for talented students to achieve their educational goals.

The path to higher education isn’t always easy which is why we're committed to providing university scholarships that support New Zealand students studying science, technology, engineering and/or maths (STEM). To us, it’s not just about easing their financial burden, it's also about investing in Aotearoa’s future

This year the pandemic proved no barrier in our commitment, and we congratulate the following 2020 Stantec scholarship recipients: 

  • Rosa Wallace—Stantec Jim Bradley ScholarshipUniversity of Canterbury. Awarded to Rosa for excelling both academically and in their future aspirations in civil and natural resources engineering.
  • Daniel Goodwin—Stantec Jim McFarlane Memorial Prize—University of Canterbury. Awarded to Daniel for their academic achievement in Environmental Analysis as part of the BE(Hons) in Civil, Forest or Natural Resources, and for demonstrating their potential to become an environmentally responsible engineer.
  • Jae Morse—Stantec Transportation Engineering Prize—University of Canterbury. Awarded to Jae for achieving  excellence in the 400-level transportation engineering subjects.
  • Matthew Yang—Stantec Traffic Engineering Prize—University of Auckland. Awarded to Matthew for outstanding results in the CIVIL 758 Traffic Systems Design subject as part of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree.
  • Dionne Yue An He—Stantec Transportation Engineering Scholarship—University of Auckland. Awarded to Dionne for excellence as a Part III student to use in their Part IV year towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree or conjoint degree in Civil Engineering .
  • Yunlong (Chris) Wang—Stantec Urban Planning and Sustainability Award—University of Auckland. Awarded to Chris for demonstrating an excellent understanding of the principles of sustainability in a planning context as part of their Bachelor of Urban Planning degree. 

We're excited to see the future unfold for these bright minds. 

Each award will be available and administered by its respective university in 2021. Interested students are encouraged to contact their institution’s award department for more information.
