Stantec Extends its Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) accreditation from Transport NSW for Buildings Services

Infrastructure Projects continue to be a significant part of the resilient NSW economy. Many of the projects are led by Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW).

05/10/2020 SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES

With its broad infrastructure experience, Stantec has long been an accredited AEO for TfNSW.  With the acquisition of Wood & Grieve Engineers Stantec has been able to broaden its accreditation and on 1 May, TfNSW announced its recognition of Stantec as an (AEO) for ‘Buildings Services, SCADA, Acoustics, Structure, Civil, BIM, Fire and Life Safety, and Sustainability’.

This accreditation verifies Stantec’s capability and excellence in providing specialist buildings engineering services to the community in addition to its established infrastructure offering to TfNSW.

The AEO accreditation allowed Stantec’s to successfully deliver:

  • The Transport Access Program – Tranche 3, in 2019 which saw the Stantec team undertake scoping designs for nine station accessibility upgrades.
  • More Trains, More Services (stage 2) which the team has recently (April 2020) been awarded.

By working with Stantec, TfNSW will have access to skilled local teams supporting projects from concept-design through to construction with the support of Stantec’s global range of experts.

TfNSW’s Asset Standards Authority (ASA) promotes best practice and the growth of engineering capability and capacity within industry through the authorisation of organisations to effectively provide engineering services on the NSW rail network.
