Stantec to lead full-service design and construction administration on Adams County Fleet and Public Works Service Center

Forward-thinking design to celebrate automotive occupation and instill employee pride

10/20/2021 DENVER, CO TSX,NYSE:STN

Global architecture firm Stantec is leading the master planning, full-service design, and construction administration for a new Fleet and Public Works Service Center for Adams County, Colorado. As the prime consultant, Stantec is assisting the county in evaluating their current facility, equipment, and staffing needs; developing a long-term site master plan; and designing a new, efficient, and cost-effective facility. FCI Constructors is the general contractor.

Under a construction manager/general contractor (CMGC) delivery method, the $36 million project aims to create a facility that is welcoming, celebrates the automotive occupation, embodies the technology of the future, and instills employee pride. The design of the 135,000-square-foot, three-building campus is influenced by the services and critical work provided by the Adams County Facilities & Fleet Management and Public Works departments.

“This is a project that will truly be an asset to Adams County and one we are proud to help deliver,” said Jonathan Flager, Stantec’s project manager. “Once complete, the new fleet maintenance and public works campus will address critical space needs, while embodying the core values of both the Fleet and Public Works teams and paying homage to the community it serves. It’s exciting to be a part of the team.”

Using a unique and prioritized phasing approach based on master planning efforts, Stantec’s design and FCI’s CMGC schedule will allow the existing county fleet campus to remain operational through construction, limiting disruption to service.

The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-2023.
