10/19/2022 EDMONTON, AB; TORONTO, ON TSX, NYSE:STN

Theresa Jang, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Stantec, has been recognized by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) as a 2022 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award winner. The Top 100 awards celebrate outstanding women who create meaningful change in the way they lead within their organizations and communities.

“Theresa being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women is well-deserved recognition for a colleague and a friend who demonstrates such passion for supporting women in their careers,” said Gord Johnston, president and chief executive officer, Stantec. “This award recognizes Theresa’s dedication to the work she does at Stantec and in her community.”

In addition to leading all aspects of Stantec’s global financial operations, Ms. Jang chairs Stantec’s Executive Environmental, Social and Governance Committee, where her support of the Company’s commitment to achieving its sustainability priorities has included serving on the United Nations CFO Taskforce for the Sustainable Development Goals. Ms. Jang also lends her expertise as a board member of the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS), a Canadian non-profit air ambulance organization that provides rapid and specialized emergency care and transportation for critically ill and injured patients.

“It is such an honour to receive this recognition and to be part of this class of amazing women,” Ms. Jang said. “For me, the most meaningful aspect of receiving this award is showing other women who are building their careers, that their journey—whether that is to the C-Suite, starting their own business, or transforming their communities—is possible.”

The Top 100 Awards span the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, with the winners selected by WXN's Diversity Council of Canada. For a full list of winners, please click HERE.
