Autumn 2014

The temporality of things is what I am interested in investigating; I habitually watch the walls of my bedroom as shadows casted from the light of lampposts and traffic pass over the interior through the large street facing window.  The perpetually of forms repeating across the space and the slight aberrance in this moving pattern involve actions of exchange and transition that is very much connected with the flux and change in everyday life. These objects hanging in Stantec Window Gallery are forms of a once present shadow – it’s trace or index left behind – a kind of residue that speaks of impermanence and parallels how shadows are memories of things that have once been.
