Welcome to Fairbanks

Just 120 miles south of the Arctic Circle, Fairbanks is a land of extremes. Winter temperatures to -40 degrees Fahrenheit are common, while summer highs often climb into the 80s.

Daylight comes and goes with the seasons too. In the summer, Fairbanks is indeed of the Land of the Midnight Sun—with almost 22 hours of daylight on our longest day. The shortest day of winter gives us a little less than 4 hours of daylight. But it’s the perfect time to see the aurora borealis.

In a region like this, we need design professionals who are creative thinkers. Our office specializes in arctic and sub-arctic design. Whether it’s a major renovation at K-8 magnet school, a vapor barrier retrofit at the university, or improvements for pedestrian safety, we do it all—with our northern clients in mind.
