First established in 1987 as part of James M. Montgomery Engineers, our Sacramento C Street office has grown to become a flagship for integrated water resources planning, engineering design, and construction for local, state, and federal agencies. Our deep bench of resources includes engineers, planners, scientists, public outreach professionals, and analytical specialists.

Our multidisciplinary team of professionals provides comprehensive solutions for complex water and power management challenges in California and across the US. From the planning, design, and construction of community water treatment plants to watershed-scale initiatives focused on restoring populations of endangered Chinook salmon, we address complex and controversial challenges head on.

We assist clients in navigating power requirements and community safety by offering planning, design, construction, and maintenance services for electrical power infrastructure, dams, and hydropower facilities. Committed to supporting the energy transition, we strive to enable communities and agencies to respond effectively to evolving energy demands and implement sustainable practices.

Located in the historic American Can Company complex in East Sacramento, our team is tied to the community in which we live and serve. We engage in a range of activities to improve our health (May is Bike Month, California International Marathon), support those in need in our community (Sacramento Food Bank, Donut Dash Niner), and enhance the environment (Creek Week, American River Parkway Foundation). Through engagement with the communities in which we live and work, we do our best design.
