Quincy, Massachusetts
Welcome to Quincy
Quincy, the “City of Presidents,” is the birthplace of two United States presidents, John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams, as well as John Hancock, the first signer of the Declaration of Independence.
Our office specializes in large and small projects from transportation to environmental site assessment and remediation. That could be anything from small peer reviews to intersection improvements, such as on one of the state’s largest interchange improvements (at I-93/I-95/Rte. 128), where we contributed design services and provided 52 acres of new parkland.
The Quincy office also includes power engineering, civil, and environmental services for the renewable energy industry including offshore and onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Our senior staff provides leadership in the New England region and throughout the eastern US and provides environmental consulting for high profile offshore wind farm development projects and strategic consulting for private and public entities.
Just 11 miles south of Boston, we’re part of the South Shore, an area that extends all the way to Cape Cod. Living in the Boston metropolitan area, we serve both public and private sector clients from large state agencies to municipalities, financial institutions, and developers.
Ken Fitzgerald, Senior Principal
Our projects focus on teamwork—our client and the community are key members of the team.
Bill Reed, Senior Principal
Leading this transportation group is a very satisfying job for me, and it’s what makes me get up every day and want to come to work.
Jill McLaughlin, Senior Transportation Engineer
Getting out of the office is important: understanding how projects are built will make you a better designer.
Brian Moran, Associate
Sometimes you need to think “out of the box” to solve the problem.
I look for opportunities to solve problems creatively with engineering design.
John Crowther, Senior Principal, Environmental Services
It is a thrill to be leading the offshore wind consulting practice at Stantec and to be part of a new industry in the United States.
