Brighton, Michigan
Located within an hour’s drive of Detroit and less than 30 minutes from Ann Arbor, the community of Brighton offers a blend of town and country living that makes it an attractive destination in its own right. The vibrant downtown boasts several popular art galleries, specialty shops, eateries, and opportunities for outdoor recreation at Mill Pond, Mount Brighton, the Brighton Recreation Area, Kensington/Huron Meadows Metroparks, and Island Lake Recreation Area.
Brighton is often cited among the best places to live in Michigan, and the city nearly doubled in population between 1980 and 2020. Our presence in the area has grown along with it, and today, our staff in Brighton focuses primarily on environmental services—including natural resource and ecological restoration work. The team here has expertise in full delivery terrestrial, wetland, and aquatic habitat design and construction for the purposes of both establishment and enhancement, natural resource management planning, assessment and permitting, installation of native plants/seed, invasive species control, and design/implementation of nature-based solutions.
