The Lewis and Clark Expedition traveled up the Missouri River in 1804 to study and explore the area’s rich natural resources. Now, more than 200 years later, Bismarck on the east—with Mandan just west across the river—serves the area’s energy and agricultural endeavors, thriving industries and businesses, and state government and other institutions.

Our local team focuses on keeping the public moving safely–whether its developing safe routes to the areas schools, repairing city roadways, or designing and reconstructing rural highway improvements.
