Amir completed his bachelor of environmental engineering and master of applied science in transportation engineering at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, and he completed his doctor of philosophy in safety and pavement management at the University of Waterloo.
In his role as regional leader for Ontario Southwest, Amir is focused on putting our people first, ensuring our safer together culture is practiced on a day-to-day basis in all our offices and communities. He also drives the growth of our businesses by collaborating with our regional business leaders, our local leadership teams, and our functional service teams.
Amir has managed several large-scale transportation infrastructure projects across North America including in California, New Jersey, Louisiana, New York, British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. He’s worked with all levels of government around North America—from small towns to states, provinces, and federal governments—to effectively manage their infrastructure assets.
Previously at Stantec, Amir served as both the business center managing leader as well as sector leader for the Ontario Southwest and Tri-States (US) region Infrastructure Management & Pavement Engineering (IMPE) team. Amir also serves as the office leader for our Waterloo office, consisting of over 330 professionals.
