Specializing in hydropower and dam engineering, Chetan is a principal civil engineer with more than 25 years of experience delivering resilient infrastructure for energy projects worldwide. He is driven by the belief that well‑designed water infrastructure must balance safety, constructability, and long‑term performance while supporting sustainable energy systems.
Chetan’s work spans the planning, analysis, and design of hydropower project components such as concrete gravity and roller compacted concrete dams, intakes, powerhouses, surge shafts, tunnels, spillways, penstocks, and turbine‑generator foundations. He has extensive expertise in advanced finite‑element modeling, seismic analysis, and structural assessment to help clients manage complex technical risks across the project life cycle. He has contributed to hydropower projects across diverse geographies and recently published technical research in the International Journal of Hydropower & Dams.
When he isn’t solving engineering challenges, Chetan enjoys spending time with his family, taking long drives, watching Indian movies, and listening to Hindi songs.
