As the Rail and Transit lead for British Columbia, Firas is responsible for delivering safe, sustainable, and integrated solutions for a wide variety of clients. He has extensive experience in both the private and public rail and transit sector, with direct involvement in the delivery of complex engineering and construction projects in Canada, Europe, and the Middle East.
Firas specializes in highly interdependent, infrastructure projects requiring multiple phases and configuration states for successful implementation in brownfield and greenfield environments. He is a professional engineer with considerable expertise in railway integration, spanning the entire asset and project lifecycle. Firas’ background in rail systems has enabled him to implement automatic train control functions for mass transit systems such as London Underground, Dubai Metro, and Metro Vancouver SkyTrain.
Away from the office, Firas is a keen private pilot. He has a young family and enjoys taking them camping, paddle boarding, and to the occasional barbecue with friends and clients alike in beautiful British Columbia.
