As our North American conveyance subsector leader, Ali is responsible for strategic planning, business development, project execution, and enhancing revenue growth of Stantec’s conveyance projects, primarily focusing on aging infrastructure. Working within our Innovation ecosystem, he has leveraged years of technical knowledge and expertise into the development of a machine-learning-based tool that can be readily deployed to clients worldwide.
Always a willing and enthusiastic communicator, Ali is known for fearlessly diving into new technologies and challenges. In his position, he provides technical leadership for projects throughout North America. Ali has also assisted and supported major water supply projects and programs, saving utilities an estimated $10 billion in repair and/or replacement costs.
Ali enjoys his leisure time with his family, traveling to new locations or exploring new things like food and culture. He loves tennis, skiing, and running—he finds it offers a chance to unwind and opens his mind to think more creatively. Ali usually runs two or three times a week, and he completed three half marathons in the last couple years.
