Cynthia has managed and delivered award-winning project outcomes for nearly 30 years—and 19 years with Stantec. She brings both public and private sector knowledge to her project teams, and she specializes in regional and community planning as well as land development, transportation, and mobility planning. She’s also worked on master planning for linear infrastructure and parks and recreation, growth management plans, and urban revitalization.
At the root of all her planning endeavors for the past three decades is an integration of technology and data. Cynthia harnesses data from abundant sources and specializes in vertically integrating the information using ArcGIS software to bring impactful recommendations to our clients. For example, she used location-based data from cell phones to correlate transit ridership with visitor numbers at popular destinations. This led to recommending dramatic changes in transit service—potentially improving user experience and transit utilization.
Cynthia is one of 47 urban designers certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and the American Planning Association Institute, and the only one in the state of Nevada. She’s a geographic information systems professional (GISP), a member of Stantec’s Urban Places team, and she thrives on collaboration across business lines. She’s a mother, wife, athlete, and community volunteer.
