Being a wastewater engineer gives Sara the opportunity to fulfill a great purpose in her life, which is providing clean water for her community. Well-versed in process modeling, she has a strong background and understanding of wastewater treatment processes—her core expertise is in biological wastewater treatment. She has vast experience in the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of biological nutrient removal plants, membrane-based treatment processes, and industrial wastewater applications.
As a practice leader, Sara helps clients know about innovative solutions in the wastewater industry. Her daily responsibilities are typically based on a combination of process engineering and project management as a project technical lead. Applying her technical knowledge, she works with her team to assist in project management and business development for landfill leachate and solid waste practice areas, food and beverage, power, and mining efforts.
When she’s not at work, Sara loves spending quality time with her family, traveling, and reading books.
