Avril has undertaken a wide variety of creative design work for urban schemes in both public and private sector over the last 25 years. Responsible for managing our Bristol-based Housing team, she uses her knowledge of planning policy and rule governing design to help deliver bespoke housing and apartments as well as securing planning permission for large scale urban extensions.
Avril is currently leading a team tasked with delivering a new mixed-use community on the edge of Swindon known as Wichelstowe, on behalf of Swindon Borough Council and Barratt David Wilson Homes. We were appointed to secure planning and prepare design codes for this development. Using these design codes, we have applied the principles to the detailed designs of the development parcels to great success. Those completed to date have received positive feedback from the local planning authority and community.
Outside of work, Avril loves designing and creating items for her home and garden.
