A city planner, John is passionate about creating walkable, vibrant, mixed-use places that promote quality of life and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. John often works at the intersection of spatial design and infrastructure planning, serving as a connection point across disciplines to help achieve the best outcomes.
He’s worked in communities around the world to draft smart city policies and regulations, prepare and implement affordable housing programs, and plan vibrant, low-carbon districts, cities, and regions. Before joining Stantec, John served as project director for the Visakhapatnam, India, Smart City Framework Plan and as an urban development advisor to the Tianjin, China, Eco-city.
If he’s not helping clients make high-quality urban places, you’ll probably find him playing music with his children.
