As a senior associate and professional engineer, Majid is a seismic specialist for our structural group. In his work with concrete and steel structural systems, he focuses on seismic design for high-rise buildings. A career highlight? He worked on the lateral system, using outrigger systems, for the tallest building in Western Canada—Stantec Tower in Edmonton, Alberta.
Majid enjoys collaborating with clients along with design and construction team members to deliver innovative structural solutions for all his projects. He has mastered key advanced techniques to deliver structural designs for cultural, commercial, healthcare, and residential developments across Canada. As an active member in the industry, he’s a member of the board for the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and has published more than 10 publications and whitepapers about seismic and structural design.
When he’s not earthquake-proofing buildings, Majid enjoys spin classes and the beautiful nature of British Columbia.
