As an application developer, Andrew has a core development principle to maximize reusable code with minimal dependencies. This roughly translates to mean that if you ask him to build something, chances are he already has code for it, and you won’t have to install anything on your computer to get it to work.
Andrew is an earth science graduate with a strong background in geology, spatial ecology, and computer programming. He develops both desktop and web application solutions to minimize user effort and streamline workflows. As an example, his request for information (RFI) tools manage correspondence between clients, vendors, and disciplines in real time while back end services monitor the system and notify administrators and project coordinators of due dates, expiry dates, and status changes.
In his spare time, Andrew plays drums in his band or builds and flies remote control planes and helicopters. He also enjoys weightlifting, snowboarding, golf, and ice hockey.
