Sylvain Béland has over 20 years of experience in railways. A civil engineer specializing in rail bridges, he is certified to perform railway track inspections throughout Canada. He has been involved in various rail design projects, from the design phase to onsite work supervision.
Over his career, he has acquired extensive experience in the design and repair of various structures, particularly rail bridges.
On top of his through knowledge of North American railway standards, Sylvain also has a solid grasp of European standards for typical rail design for passenger trains. In addition, he has worked with licensed rail companies and is thus familiar with AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association) and typical railway requirements for passenger trains.
