Working with the Practice Technology (PTech) group, Jose’s main responsibilities are supporting the Creativity & Innovation program and reviewing and administrating our Publish & Speak initiative. That means he partners with designers to get their innovations advertised internally and externally, making sure everybody knows about the interesting work going on all over the world.
Jose designed and maintains a database of Publish & Speak topics as well as Greenlight (innovative funding procedure) submissions. This database helps us keep track of how Greenlight projects have affected client attraction. It also lets us evaluate how Stantec employees are publishing and presenting at conferences.
A proud living kidney donor, Jose likes telling people about his experience so he can encourage others to register as organ donors or even living kidney donors. He didn’t know the woman who got his kidney beforehand, but since the donation they’ve become really good friends. Jose also has an appreciation for health and fitness, lifting weights several times per week.
