From interchanges to bus rapid transit (BRT) to road upgrades, Mat has more than a decade of experience project managing the design and construction of transportation projects. He enjoys working closely with colleagues across all disciplines.
Mat’s favourite part of the job is building relationships along the way—he has collaborated with bridge engineers and specialists in deep utilities such as water, storm, electrical, and sanitary, as well as third party utilities. Mat enjoys the tangible nature of his role, seeing something real being built from start to finish. A good example of this is his work as site engineer on the Glenmore Trail and Ogden Road interchange. Located on site for the duration of the project, he performed all contract administration tasks including financials, quality inspections, change management, and communications.
In his free time, Mat enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also likes exploring the mountains while hiking, skiing, climbing, or biking.
