Landon enjoys combining public health data analysis with urban forestry to grow better places to live. A landscape architect and arborist, he actively explores opportunities to innovate and apply new approaches in this area, drawing on the diverse range of existing data sources and ever-expanding capabilities of remote sensing techniques.
By focusing on innovation, Landon believes it is possible to offer leading analysis to smaller communities than ever before. His recent work includes aiding in the development of an urban forest management strategy for the City of Fredericton to guide the protection, management, and growth of the urban forest over the next 25 years. He also works in landscape restoration, contributing to regeneration of watercourses and other natural areas.
When he isn’t working, you’ll find Landon fishing and canoeing way outside cell coverage.
